The cheapest and most effective deodorant around!

LEMON FOR YOUR ARMPITS!? I must be kidding, right? I am definitely as serious as it gets. After all, lemon is an extremely natural ingredient when it comes to skincare, so why not try it on your pits too? Here is why it DOES WORK:

Lemons are highly acidic and when rubbed on your armpits, it helps lower the body’s PH level, making it less conducive for bacterial growth! The anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties in the lemon juice controls the growth of microbes which live on the skin and feed on sweat. Lemon juice also acts as an astringent that shrinks and tightens the pores to reduce sweat production. Keep in mind that a lemon is odor controlling and is NOT an antiperspirant so you will still sweat.

There are different ways in which to use lemons as deodorant.

  1. Slice a lemon into quarters and glide directly on your armpits.
  2. Squeeze the lemon juice from half a lemon and dip a cotton ball to apply.
  3. If you have sensitive skin, dilute with water and add to a spray bottle and spray it on.

Let the lemon dry. For the first 2 weeks, apply as needed in place of deodorant. You will eventually see that you will lessen the amount of times a day that you need to reapply. IT IS CRAZY! To be able to go without deodorant and not stink is amazing.

For me, and being quarantined, I stopped using deodorant all together! I heard about this experiment from a friend and decided to take it on! The second I started to smell, I rubbed a quarter of a lemon on my pits and it instantly took away the smell…..I’m talking workout, no shower smell! (hahaha gross, I know, but reality, YES)

As a side note, I am going to make my 11 year old son do this as well! How great would it be to not have to remind him or fight with him to put on deodorant. He will look at me like I’m nuts, but he does that anyway! (hahah)

As a helpful tip…. Don’t use it right after shaving as it WILL sting! OUCH!

Regular deodorant has so many unnecessary chemicals to keep you from being stinky. I think I would rather be stinky than rub that amount of chemicals on my body. A lot of natural deodorants don’t work at all and are expensive. I will say, however, that I make one that has Milk of Magnesia, Witch Hazel, baking soda and a blend of high quality essential oils that does work the best for me when it comes to natural! You can message me here if you would like to purchase that instead of doing this experiment.

So, if you are stuck home, NOW IS THE TIME TO TRY THIS! Lemons are super inexpensive and work VERY GOOD! Please let me know if you tried this experiment and how it worked (or didn’t) for you! Comment on this post of message me on my Facebook page!

Home for a few more weeks! Try lemon deodorant today!
